Leadership

2020-2024

Volunteer Umpire for Del Mar Little League

I really enjoyed being involved in Little League since it was such a big part of my early life. It was meaningful for me to be a role model for the Little Leaguers, since I was once one of them! Many spring Saturdays were spent on the baseball field umpiring Little League games from 2021-2024. It was interesting being a Volunteer Umpire during the Pandemic, but we made it work! Luckily, baseball works well with social distancing, and this is an experience I will never forget!

Home Builds

My friends and I got together to help out on home builds, which are a way for us to assist lower-income families in securing housing for their loved ones. It was cool to help in any way that I could to people who need it, especially since we are currently experiencing a global housing crisis.

2018 Before & After SchooL

Safety Patrol

At my elementary school, I was chosen to work as a volunteer for the Safety Patrol. We had teams for each day of the week, and I was a member of the 6-person Friday team. Before and after school, we directed traffic at the intersection by the school in order to ensure safe crossing for all the kids at my school. Because of this amazing opportunity, I was able to interact with more people at my school and make new friends. It also taught me the value of simple acts of leadership.

2015

National Science League Competition

I received this recognition due to my performance at school, and it gave me encouragement to continue my Science studies later on. Even though Science is not my favorite subject, I understand now how receiving recognition like this is important to young people, because it provides encouragement!
